Welcome to the NEW pngv.org

The Partnership for a New Generation of Vehicles is certainly not new. It was established back in 1993 by the Clinton and Gore administration, the automotive industry, government bodies, and a whole lot of companies and people who were concerned about the negative direction our environment was headed.

It was clear that something had to be done about many things that were affecting the air we breathe and the water we drink. This was not a new concept by any means but what was new and innovative was the means at which to tackle the problem. Start where the pollution begins, at the source; vehicles and the plants that manufacture those vehicles, to the power supplied to those plants, to the materials that are used in those plants, to the factories that produce those materials and the energy source that is used by those plants.

What was started as an automotive solution became a better understanding of the circle of raw materials to finished products back to the raw materials that encompassed all forms of industry, and how it affected our world.

PNGV is directly and indirectly responsible for almost all of the new technologies we see today. Just look at the hybrid cars on the roads, the new materials that make all vehicles from cars to aircraft stronger, lighter, faster, and yes even safer all while being more efficient and less harmful to the environment.

Take another look at what the PNGV has done for our world and what it has done for you in the past and what it will do for you in the future.

Sincerely,

Director
